My name is Meike Smit, I’m 35 years old and I was born and raised in Haarlem. After a long house search, I have been living in Abbenes with my partner and 2 daughters (2 years and 3 months) since November ’21.
On the 5th of July. I started as HR manager at HAP De LIMES. After graduating in HRM, I started working as an HR advisor in education.\u00a0 I worked here for a number of beautiful and especially instructive years, after which I became curious and wanted to spread my wings. That’s how I ended up at my previous employer in business services. It’s a completely different world than in education, but it’s also interesting. Still, I missed social involvement in my work. What do I work for and what do I find important and how can this contribute to an organization? Answering these questions, I started the search for a new job. There are more than enough vacancies to be found in these special times, but the vacancy of HR Advisor at De LIMES appealed to me the most. So I was super excited when I got the message that I had been hired! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first week, the LIMES feels like a warm bath. I have already had some introductory conversations with pleasant people and I feel very welcome. I experience that there are many great ambitions at De LIMES to which I hope to be able to make a great contribution. In the coming weeks, I will first start with further introductory interviews, reading and ‘landing’ in the organization. Who knows, maybe you’ll meet me soon at one of the posts for a further acquaintance. I think it would be interesting to see and hear what an evening\/night\/weekend shift looks like and to get a better idea of the work that is being done.
