The out-of-hours GP service is for emergency GP care in the evening, night and weekend. Urgent complaints are those that you cannot wait until the next consultation hour with your own GP.
The out-of-hours GP service is intended for residents/guests who are staying in the area below and who need urgent GP care in the evening, night or weekend hours (and public holidays).

Then you ask family/friends or call a taxi or take public transport. For example, are you staying in a nursing home and do you have difficulty walking? Then this will be taken into account.
The BSN number prevents identity fraud and speeds up the telephone call. In addition, this number helps to properly pass on the medical information about your visit to the post office to your own GP who will keep your file (provided that you have consented to this).

In order to determine the seriousness and degree of urgency of your request for help, a ‘triage’ is necessary. As soon as you call, the triage nurse will ask you a number of questions that will help her clarify what help you need. This can be a:
- Self-care advice or
- a consultation at the post or
- a visit to your accommodation or
- the deployment of an ambulance.
As soon as you call, you are assured of appropriate care.
You call the out-of-hours GP service if:
- you urgently need help from a GP and;
- this is outside office hours or on a national holiday and;
- your situation cannot wait until the next consultation hour of your own GP
Opening hours:
- Working days from 17.00 hours until 08.00 the next morning
- On weekends from Friday 17:00 to Monday 08:00
- On public holidays from 08:00 to 08:00 the next day

Keep in mind that you will also pay for a telephone consultation. The tariffs used by the postal service are set by the government through the NZa (Dutch Healthcare Authority).
Rates GP post as of 1 July 2023
Rates GP office per July 1, 2023- Telephone consultation: € 35,00
- Prescription request for medicines € 35,00 (+ the associated costs of medicines charged by the service pharmacy)
- Consult at the GP office: € 195,65
- Visiting at home: € 293,47
These rates are set annually by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). Are you not insured? Then you pay the costs of the consultation or prescription here at the GP post.

If you have a valid EHIC, the cost will be debited to your insurance company. When you are not insured, you must pay the costs of the consultation or prescription at the office.
If our visiting doctor cannot be present within the desired time, an ambulance will be deployed. The ambulance service and GP posts De LIMES work closely together.
The service pharmacy is exclusively intended for dispensing medication in emergencies.

Medication data
Patients must bring an up-to-date medication overview for proper handling by the service pharmacy. Patients can also give their own pharmacy permission to exchange medication data via the National Exchange Point (LSP).
Payment
Make sure you always have a valid ID (ID card, driver’s license or passport) with your BSN number on it. It is not possible to get medicines on account at the service pharmacy. Therefore, make sure you also have cash or your debit card with you. Please note: for a request for a prescription for medication/medical devices via the GP emergency stations, we charge € 35.00 (+ the associated costs of medicines will be charged by the service pharmacy).
Taxi scheme
If it is impossible for you to pick up the medication yourself or have it picked up, the medication can be delivered by taxi at the request of the prescribing doctor.
These are sometimes used for training purposes of healthcare providers and for complaint and compliment handling. The recorded calls are stored for a maximum of 12 months.
If your GP is located in Zuid-Holland Noord, he will automatically receive a message from us the next working day about your contact with our post. Your own GP will update your file.
Your medical data is confidential. Only your practitioners have access to your situation. Information may only be passed on to your partner, family or friends with your consent. We work according to the guidelines of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
