Life threatening situation? Always call 112

Dear colleagues,

by Gos de Vries – Managing Director

Here is the first newsletter of 2023! We ended the past year in style with a production that was 46% above the budgeted production. Compared to December 2019 (pre-Corona), the number of transactions was 7% higher. It was and still is a busy period given the Influenza epidemic and the fact that there are many other respiratory viruses (RS, Corona, Rhino …) around. I hope it won’t be too long before we finally end up in more normal pre-Corona times.

The year is still young, but in addition to the patient care that always continues, we are also busy with new plans elsewhere in the organization.

There is now clarity about the conditions of the bicycle plan, and we are working a different set-up recruitment and selection process for triage nurses and doctor’s assistants. We are in the process of developing the ideas gathered during the meetings in December to arrive at a joint multi-year strategic policy plan, and fruit is being put on the shop floor.

After approval of the final design, work is being done on the technical design for the new building in Leiderdorp, we are on the eve of the completion of Alphen as a renovated GP post, we have started again with a new training plan, and we are working a completely new stable ICT network.

Oh yes, we also had a successful second meeting of the working group “Optimising the workload of ANW care”. This working group ensures that we are ready for this as soon as the differentiated rates are allowed to be implemented.

In addition to all these work-oriented activities, there is fortunately also time for relaxation and talking to colleagues in a different environment. This happened during the Christmas drink on 13 December in Poelgeest Castle and recently during the New Year’s lunch on 12 January in Brasserie Buitenhuis. Successful meetings with a large turnout and a good atmosphere!

Enjoy reading this Newsletter!
