Life threatening situation? Always call 112

Dear colleagues,

by Gos de Vries – Managing Director

After a break during the summer holidays, this is the first edition of the biweekly newsletter of Huisartsenposten De LIMES. Hopefully many of you have been able to enjoy a well-deserved holiday in the past period, have managed to take a break from work and recover from the very busy months in the spring. It seems that in terms of production, we are entering more ‘normal’ waters with figures that are close to the comparable period in 2019.

After a wonderful holiday in Denmark (with beautiful weather, but fortunately no tropical temperatures) I am full of energy to continue with various projects together in the coming months. We are working hard to further improve the basis of the organisation, and with the start of Aletta van de Watering as the new manager in Voorhout on 1 October, we have a complete MT. In addition, Annechien van Roosmalen will support us as a communications advisor, temporarily until the end of this year.

In addition to paying attention to the internal organisation, we are busy with many other projects. The renovation of the post office in Alphen will start soon and the preparations for the new building in Leiderdorp are also going according to plan. The ‘future-proof night care’ project will also be followed up on the GMM of 20 September. Together with a working group of four general practitioners, an amended proposal will be submitted.

In order to bring a little more structure to the matters we are taking on, we will start this autumn with the preparation of a vision and a long-term strategic policy plan. Above all, we want to do this together with you. Input and involvement of employees and general practitioners is essential for this. More information about this process and the possibility to participate will follow in the next newsletter. For now, I hope you enjoy reading!
