Life threatening situation? Always call 112

Foreword

by Gos de Vries – Managing Director

I would like to inform you that the jointly drafted Strategy 2024 – 2028 has now been definitively adopted. This is after extensive consultation internally and with the Works Council, Client Council, Supervisory Board, GMM of general practitioners and General Meeting of Shareholders.  The Strategy 2024 – 2028 can be found via this link! To ensure that the Strategy is more than just a nice document and comes to life with all employees and general practitioners, a number of activities will be organized in the coming months. Finally, there will be a spectacular Theatre Show on 21 March! But more news about that later.

Works councils

Another important topic is the upcoming Works Council elections. The Works Council regulations stipulate that every three years the entire Works Council resigns and general elections are organized. There are 7 seats available, 6 for direct patient care staff and 1 for office workers. A complete Works Council is of great importance for the organisation (input from employees) and for the proper functioning of the director. I can do my job better with a (positively) critical Works Council that thinks along with me. I therefore call on all employees who are eligible to stand for election to think about this. A professional work attitude, at least three months of work experience at De LIMES and common sense is what you need. The rest you can learn through various training courses. Incredibly fun and useful given the importance outlined earlier. But also in view of the important projects such as the professionalisation of the job classification system, care coordination, the integrated emergency room, the roster, training and cooperation between the various posts we are working on. For more information about this, you can of course speak to the current Works Council members or employees who have previously been in the Works Council. But you can also approach your direct supervisor or me. More information about the elections and the candidacy procedure will follow from the Works Council.

Safety II

Once again, I would like to draw your attention to the Theatre performance about Safety II on 17 January in the LUMC. I’ve seen this performance before at Schiphol and it’s really worth it! As far as I’m concerned, we are at the beginning of a different way of looking at safety and dealing with incidents and calamities. I therefore hope that those who have not yet registered, or who are undecided, will still apply. Despite the fact that you won’t be home for another evening, I’m sure you won’t regret it!

ICT manager De LIMES

Finally, I am very pleased with the arrival of Jan Wouter Rensink as the new ICT Manager in December. You can find out more about him and all other important topics in this newsletter. Happy reading!
