Privacy and information security

Healthcare institutions that have not handled information correctly are regularly discussed in the news. The patient has the highest priority for us, in the treatment room but also in the patient file. Proper handling of privacy and information security is therefore crucial to help the patient from A to Z.
With the merger of the SHR and the DDDB into Huisartsenposten De LIMES, new challenges have arisen in the field of information security. The organization has grown and the various locations are working on the same working method in this area. The set of standards for privacy and information security NEN7510 contains the best practices for privacy and information security in healthcare. In order to guarantee the safety of the patient/patient files and to comply with laws and regulations, HP De LIMES wants to demonstrably comply with this standard for privacy and information security within one year.
In order to demonstrably comply with this standard, we will analyse the organisation through privacy and information security glasses in the coming year. We look forward to further increasing the security of the patient/patient records. Of course, this also includes the security of employees (processing of personal information). To increase the level of (information) security, more synergy between locations, employees and systems in which personal data is processed is necessary. That’s what we, as HP De LIMES , are going to work in the coming year!
