Work on the Wilhelmina Bridge in Leiden from 7 June

Source – Internet

From Tuesday 7 June to 14 August, work will take place on the Wilhelmina Bridge in Leiden. The bridge will be completely closed during this period. The work will affect motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and public transport. Are you working at one of our locations during this period? Then take into account extra travel time.

The bridge will be open again from 15 August, except in the weekend of 27 and 28 August due to test moments. From 29 August, the bridge will be open again and in normal use. The maintenance ensures that the bridge continues to meet the latest safety standards and that traffic can pass smoothly and safely.

Redirects
Signs divert traffic. If you are a motorist coming from the Hoge Rijndijk, you will be diverted via the Lammenschansweg and the Willem van der Madeweg. If you are coming as a cyclist or pedestrian from the Hoge Rijndijk, you will be diverted via the Julius Caesar Bridge. Public transport is also affected by the work. The routes of bus lines 1, 2, 7, 169, 182, 183 and 187 will change during the works. Therefore, check out www.arriva.nl or www.9292.nl before you leave.
